Founded in 1987 by Hans Mustermann. Today run by Tobias and Erika Mustermann. The workshop sits in Musterort, west of Samplecity — here 14 journeymen, one master and two apprentices have built everything that can be made from wood for 37 years. Nothing is outsourced.
Hans Mustermann trained with a furniture maker in Musterpassau, moved to Samplecity in 1985 and opened his own workshop in 1987 — at first in a rented double garage in Musterort. Three years later the workshop had outgrown the garage; we moved to today’s Musterstraße, where we still sit.
In 1994 Heinrich added interior fit-out. An architect friend was looking for a workshop that could deliver whole-room concepts under one roof — built-in wardrobes, wall paneling, acoustic ceilings, plank floors. Heinrich took it on. Since then furniture and fit-out have come out of the same hall.
In 2018 Heinrich and Anna Mustermann handed the business to their sons Tobias and Martin. Both first learned the joinery trade, then studied business. Heinrich still works three days a week — as the senior restoration hand.
We don’t build what finishes fastest — we build what lasts longest. That means traceable materials, repairable joints, surfaces without solvents, installation by our own crew.
And: no secrets. Anyone who asks to see the workshop sees the workshop. Anyone who asks where the wood comes from gets the sawmill named. Anyone who wants to know how we cost a job sees the line on the quote.

We train two apprentices every year. The workshop is a registered training company of the Samplecity chamber of crafts — four former apprentices are journeymen with us today, one holds the master certificate and leads workshop operations.
Alongside, we run an integration workshop at the Musterort site with three positions for people with disabilities — in partnership with Lebenshilfe Samplecity since 2014. Two colleagues from that programme are now full-time employees.
