Built-in wardrobes that slide into an attic slope to the millimetre. Acoustic ceilings you can hold a conversation under. Wall paneling that gives heritage rooms back their character. We survey, draw, build, install — all in one hand.
See our fit-out workA joinery is not a furniture store. What leaves our workshop was drawn, milled, glued and sanded — by the same hands, in the same hall. That takes longer than a click in an online configurator. It also lasts longer.
We work with wood because wood rewards patience. An oak board that air-dries in our own shed for two years no longer warps. A hand-oiled finish develops a patina instead of scratches. None of this is a premium feature — these are the baseline standards we hold ourselves to.
We measure on site, build to size, install ourselves. The joiner who sets up your kitchen also milled it — and comes back twenty years later when the drawer sticks. That is not a marketing promise, that is the address on Werkstattgasse.
You don't recognise good furniture by its price or its design. You recognise it by the fact that you can still have it repaired forty years from now.
Max Mustermann · Master joiner
Furniture, solid-wood kitchens, oak staircases, doors, restoration — from single pieces to complete interior fittings, all custom made in our Samplecity joinery, with respect for the material and built in our own workshop.
A selection from joinery and interior fit-out in Samplecity — solid-wood kitchens, oak staircases, built-in wardrobes, acoustic ceilings, furniture restoration, hand in hand. Every project starts with a survey and ends with a handover; what happens in between depends on the material, the room and the client. We show the pieces we like to talk about — from the family dining table and the loft kitchen to the listed-building staircase. Take a look, every project has its own story.

Solid-wood interior fit-out in Samplecity — the discipline where every millimetre counts. From a built-in wardrobe sliding into the attic, to oak and walnut wall paneling that brings back the character of an old apartment, to a slatted acoustic ceiling under which conversation works again: we come by, take measurements, sketch options with you, build in our own joinery and install with our own team. No subcontractors, no compromises on the survey, no surprises on site. That's how craft is meant to work.

Oak, larch, ash
Material decides quality before any tool touches the board. We don't buy timber out of containers — we go to the sawmill in the Spessart in person, every four weeks, with an eye on the grain. What we haven't held in our hands does not enter the workshop.
Oak from the Spessart, walnut from southern Germany, ash and maple from the Reinhardt sawmill. Every batch is inspected on site — knot density, grain pattern, moisture. We store five to eight cubic metres in our own hall at 60 % humidity, so the wood evens out before it ever reaches the machine. We don't carry tropical hardwoods.
We use PVAc D3 glue for interior furniture, hide glue for restoration, polyurethane for exterior work. Joints are dovetails, dowels and Lamello biscuits — no screws in load-bearing positions. A drawer runs on a wood-on-wood guide with wax, not on a plastic roller. A door swings on mortised hinges, not on screw-on cup hinges. That extra effort is what makes the difference decades later.
We oil with hard wax oil, stain with water stain, polish with shellac — three methods, three characters. We use lacquer where ease of cleaning (bath, kitchen) takes priority. But the default is a finish that any joiner can refresh in fifteen years with a sanding pad and fresh oil. What you buy should be maintainable, not replaceable.
That sounds like a lot of effort for a piece of furniture. It is a lot of effort. It is the difference between buying furniture and having furniture built.

18 months in — not a single flaw. The joints hold better than our old IKEA kitchen did after three weeks.
The attic built-in sits in the slope to the millimetre. Craft you barely find today.
The hotel fit-out for 42 rooms ran like clockwork. On time, clear communication, top quality.

No. Everything is built in our own workshop in Samplecity — from the first sketch through solid-wood selection to final installation by our own crew. No outsourcing, no middlemen, no subcontractors.
It depends on scope. A single piece of furniture takes 4–6 weeks. A full solid-wood kitchen or larger interior fit-out usually runs 8–14 weeks — including survey, CAD planning, in-house build and on-site installation.
Oak, walnut, ash, beech, larch and spruce mainly — chosen by purpose and look. All PEFC-certified, from European forestry with traceable origin. Native rarities like smoked oak, figured walnut and chequer tree on request.
Yes — five years of snagging warranty on every piece we build. If something is off in that window, we fix it on us. Repairs remain possible after the warranty period because we use traditional wood joinery — solid-wood pieces are repairable for life.
A bespoke solid-wood kitchen typically runs between €25,000 and €80,000 — depending on size, wood, worktop and appliance integration. Single pieces (sideboard, dining table, built-in wardrobe) start around €3,500 by material and dimension. A firm fixed-price quote comes after the on-site meeting.
Yes. Our standard service radius is roughly 80 km around Samplecity. For larger projects (retail fit-out, hotel build-out, exhibition stands) we work nationwide.
Yes. We have decades of experience with heritage requirements — historic doors, windows, stairs and furniture restored or accurately rebuilt. Shellac polish, veneer repair, traditional joinery and heritage-compliant materials are standard.
